Can you beat golem in chrono trigger

If successful, Dalton gets angry and shoots lightning at Crono and the other two teammates. If the battle is lost, the three heroes are captured. Open the final door, and find the Wings of Time, the Nu appears with an object, and tells the players what instructions for the ship. Then give the machine a name. Created in the Antiquity era, these doors bar access to powerful items. The only way to open them is through the use of a Pendant made of Dreamstone. You can then go back and get what was in the ad box as well.

When the party enters the dome, they come across Belthasar and an apparently robotic Nu referred to as the Strange Construct.

He caused a Time Crash, sending Chronopolis into the distant past, while he remained in He then made his own Neo-Epoch, and traveled back to in order to further direct Serge, as well as Project Kid. Every time you do a spell they reset their turn but it has to be a new element that you didn't hit them with in the previous turn. They may still be able to get a few hits in but it shouldn't be too difficult if you follow that pattern. This also applies to the single Golem in Zeal's throne room. It can be won as well but the same thing happens whether you win or lose except for one or 2 dialogue changes.

So, in one of my battles with them, my team died before I could make one move. In fact, I'd be lucky to hit them twice, if I even manage to hit them once.

They can be extremely difficult to beat, because there are two of them, and they are also extremely fast Speed is probably at 16, so unless you've been really saving up on Speed Capsules , it'll be difficult, even with Crono 's Swallow sword equipped. Setting the ATB mode to "Wait" might also help. They also copy your elemental attribute of the attack you use this applies to physical attacks as well.

Also, if you went around and opened the sealed boxes in all times, and kept all the colored vests, though this yields only two of each color. Equip vests, and any MP reduction accessory. Start the fight with applicable spells, e. Ruby Vest absorbs Fire , casting Fire on the Golems or any dual techs causing fire damage causes them to retaliate with moves of the same color, thus all Golem spells heal the party. If you lack Ruby Vests, there is one more strategy.

Golem has two weaknesses: He can only copy the LAST attack he was hit with meaning he loses the one he copied prior to that and there is a fair time lag before he can use them. Head south and fight a few monsters so you can use the elevator by selecting the left globe.

You'll be in for a long series of fights. You can take Marle and Lucca if you want to have Water and Fire magic handy to kill the different colored scouts, or concentrate on physical attackers. The first two groups will fall easily to Crono's Lightning magic, so equip the Gold Stud on him to make things faster, particularly if you have Luminaire.

The third group will be three scouters of each color, so hit them with single target magic of their type, or just wear them down with physical attacks; a well aimed Falcon Hit will take care of all three. When you hit the bottom of the elevator, go ahead and go in and out to ride it up again, there will be a Magic Tab in the left middle part of the elevator embedded in the wall once you ride it up.

If you do ride the elevator up you'll have to run down the stairs again then ride the elevator, so be warned. Head into the room you land on, and there will be a big switch there that doesn't do anything.

Head into the left and the right doors to flip a switch and fight a few scouts, although you can actually skip by the scouts if you're fast enough. Once you've hit both the switches, step onto the big one to reveal a platform into another room with a chest containing an Elixir and a save point. After that, get ready to fight the Golem Twins. This can be a very gruesome fight, because of their attacks and how fast they can dish them out.

Watch out for their Iron Orb , which cuts your HP by one half. They also have a Copycat ability , which copies every technique you use on them. If you cast Lightning on them, they give you a big dose of Lightning 2.

This can be a very challenging battle because there's two of them, and they usually attack the same character two or more times in a row. Focus all your most powerful attacks on one of them, and have one character heal the party at every turn. Once you've beaten one of them, it should take a little bit of stress off of destroying the other one.

There is a special tactic that can save you though. The fact is that their copied Fire and Water skills suck, so you'll always want to make them copy those. Meaning this: dish out all the damage you can, then use a Fire or Water tech just before you think they'll attack. Use the same strategy as you did on the single Golem.

The Golem Twins will counter-attack with whatever type of attack you use on them. They deal the least amount of damage when they're using fire attacks, so always try to finish off with one of Lucca's fire spells that targets both of them.

If you have Luminaire and Flare and have your third party member heal, this will be a pretty easy battle. If you haven't trained Lucca enough, just stick with your best characters and try it yourself. However, if you have Lucca in your party, have her cast Hypno Wave.

This will put both Golems to sleep. If there's only one Golem fighting, it doesn't use Iron Orb nearly as often as it would if you were fighting both. Concentrate your attacks on only one at a time.
