When I resent the email they said it was my responsibility to make sure they successfully terminated my account and was not willing to credit me the additional charges or provide a refund.

Horrible customer service and I'm sure they did get my notice but purposely failed to terminate my account. If I didn't have their other account - I probably would have noticed the charges sooner - but I thought the charges were all valid. I signed up with this credit card company through Flagship Merchant services who use iPayment as the processor.
From the very first week iPayment risk management places a hold on my money. The lady at the risk management placed a hold on the funds that was suppose to be deposited into my account for one week.
She didn't even afford me a phone call saying that she was still reviewing the charge, I had to call in just to hear her say that I needed to call my customer in to issue a refund to her card and to look for another merchant processor. She was very rude and had no remorse in her statement. I set up an account with iPayment for my business, which provides contracting services to residential and commercial properties so we could start accepting credit card payments.
The processing went through on a Tuesday - no issues. On Thursday night I received a call that my payment was being reviewed. I received the call about 10 minutes before their offices closed, so I had to wait to call back until Friday, which I did.
On Friday they asked for a copy of my invoice and the contact information for the cardholder to validate the charges - I provided both on the spot. I followed up again Monday since no one had called me back. I was told they had reviewed my account and were willing to release half the funds, but were going to hold on to the other half of the funds until the job was complete. They asked me for 3 months of my personal bank statements.
They told me since they were not a real bank, they borrowed money to pay for their charges, and could withhold funds or refuse to process payments at any time. I had to refund my customer and ask them to either pay in cash or wait until I had a new processor in place. While the customer service rep I spoke with was very friendly, I am wholly unimpressed with their business practices.
Don't let the low rates fool you - these guys are not a good business partner. They have no problem holding onto the money you earned for an unlimited amount of time without any justification for doing so. I would run the other way if I were you. I used IPayment on my website for several months.
