Why does a paddle with holes hurt more

It differs from a "stick" in the respect that it is thinner and more flexible. This flexibility places a switch somewhere in between a thin rattan cane and a birch rod. Many bush and tree species can be used for this purpose, as long as they have straight, young, slender and flexible rods, but it is difficult to find a really good switch. In summer, you will have to remove the leaves and small side-branches, if any before the switch can be used. It must be absolutely smooth sanding helps if necessary before it can be used relatively safely.

Once cut, switches cannot be stored for long because: they become brittle and will break easily once they dry out. To prevent this, some people recommend soaking switches in water for a few hours before use. This will make them more flexible and reduce the chances of breaking. Pros: Inexpensive free ; easy to find; lightweight; easy to achieve desired sting; relatively quiet when spanking; easy to control; flexible.

Cons: Can lacerate if not used correctly; breaks easily; effects a small area of the buttocks; can leave welts; takes preparation remove leaves, thorns, etc.

Safety issues. There are certain places that are fine to hit. In a general sense, any part of the body with lots of padding is fair game. Generally, this means the ass, thighs, and backs of the calves.

You should not spank their spine, kidneys, bony spots, joints, or organs. If the bottom is bruised, kneading the flesh can actually help break up the bruising. Some take baths with epsom salts and others use Arnica gel, cream or pills. Some also use Aloe Vera. Try one or any combination of these and find something that works for your skin type and body chemistry.

Emotional aftercare is important too. The bottom quite often will need hugs and a reassuring voice, especially if the spanking was a disciplinary one. Don't pass over the tender moments, they are often what makes this kink so emotionally and physically satisfying. Trust and security are two very important pieces of an enjoyable erotic spanking experience.

Your partner needs to know they are safe and will not be harmed, and you, the spanker, needs to ensure those very things. Moving beyond hand-spanking Many people move beyond hand spanking by using a paddle. Implements A spanking paddle is an implement used to strike a person on the buttocks.

Hand Note: remove your rings and — if you intend using your arm as an impact implement — consider rolling up your sleeves. Don't lift your arm high. You would only sacrifice accuracy to apparent power.

Ruler Traditionally used by teachers as a spanking implement. Slipper The slipper is another implement that must be rated "ad-hoc" and "not well designed for spanking". Keep also in mind that shoes, especially the soles, are not always the cleanest household items Wooden Spoon This is a sometimes used ad-hoc implement especially by mothers in the kitchen. Hairbrush The back of a hairbrush is similar to a small paddle.

Paddles Ping Pong Paddle Pros: Lightweight; inexpensive; common household item; fairly quiet when spanking; desired sting stays on the surface of the buttocks; covers larger part of the buttocks; difficult to break. Wooden Paddles Wooden paddles were popular for disciplining students in schools in the U. Leather Paddle Leather paddles come in all makes, models, and colors.

You can get a lot of sensations from leather and other paddles Pros: Commonly associated with spanking; easy to achieve desired sting; sting stays on the surface of the buttocks; not as dense as wooden paddle; not likely to bruise. Strap Leather straps are thinner and shorter variations of the belt, and better designed for spanking. Taws Tawses are special variants of the strap that feature 2, 3 or 4 "tongues". Our teachers had drilled paddles.

We also had to sign them once we got paddled and the list was usually infamous. We had the option of swapping a given number of licks for an equal number of days of suspension or detention. Nobody ever took that option. You would have to be an idiot to and everyone would have made fun of you for that. I would love it if work would offer paddlings instead of listening to imbeciles drone on and on about beaurocratic performance reviews.

I would gladly take the licks. Simpler times I guess. At the speeds the paddle is traveling, combined with its small cross sectional area, air resistance is negligible. Yes, but not because of any special physical properties. No kidding, I was a student in Detroit late 70s, early 80s, as my neighborhood went mostly white to almost entirely black.

By 3rd grade all my teachers were black, and some of them had some pretty extravagant paddles, some with a real detailed history and ornamentation. Many of them were from Africa, made from wood from Africa, hand crafted and cursed by some witch doctor so it hurt more, made of denser wood, with beaded handles for a better grip, and so on.

Sure, most of the teachers were probably stretching the truth a bit, having fun giving us reasons to avoid the things, but it worked.

Those storied paddles always seemed to sting just a bit more. I had a gym teacher that had a heavy iron bar. He never needed to correct us. I bet he never picked the thing up more than once a year during his fear-inspiring presentation. Of course, you had the abusive types, but it was like with parents. One teacher only used a flexible ruler, but she used it all day long. Use the punishment too much, the kids got used to it, it became a pride thing to get smacked with it.

Students are required to remain in position throughout the administration of the beating; this condition is hard to meet as moving is a natural defense to physical violence.

He was paddling a girl. He would hit her and she would jump away and shout that it hurt. If students move during beatings they may receive additional blows and injuries. While Human Rights Watch did not receive any reports of students being asked to undress completely from the waist down prior to paddling, some students reported that they were told to hold their pants tight across the buttocks or that the paddler used one hand to tighten their pants.

The fact that paddlers initiate this tightening of the fabric demonstrates the intent to cause pain or discomfort, a prohibited act under international law. It hurts more then. By making things tight, it hurts more. Students take steps to mitigate blows, well aware of the painful punishments they may face.

For example, the Marshall Independent School District in Texas limits corporal punishment to two swats. You got to be beat down.

Human Rights Watch received some reports of students being struck with objects other than a paddle, including rulers and a belt.

We heard multiple reports of students being hit by teachers with rulers, especially among younger children. Human Rights Watch received reports that students were subjected to other forms of physical force in addition to paddling. Students are typically beaten by administrators principals, vice principals, or assistant principals 64 and in some cases, by coaches.

Everyone had P[hysical] E[ducation] or was on a team, so everyone had contact with the coaches. The majority of paddlers in incidents described by our interviewees were male. Given these school environments, in which corporal punishment is an accepted means of punishment, and in which teachers and school administrators are perceived as community leaders entitled to respect, it is not surprising that Human Rights Watch received multiple reports of parents and guardians who cooperated with administrators by coming to school to beat their children themselves.

There was an incident the last year when the principal asked me whether she could paddle my child. I said no, but said that I would come over there and use the paddle myself.

However, endorsing this sort of punishment undermines the learning environment by sending the message that violence and humiliation are appropriate and tolerated. The size and shape of paddles, the identity of persons administering corporal punishment, and the bodily positions of children, as discussed above, all contribute to a school atmosphere of harm and degradation.

Beyond these mechanical elements, corporal punishment can set a tone of intimidation and humiliation in schools, as other students see and hear the punishment. Students are constantly aware of the possibility of being beaten, a threat that discourages an open, trusting relationship between students and educators. It gives us the signal that if we talk some, we going to get a whuppin. Many students report specific threats of violence. In some instances, the administration of corporal punishment requires that another adult at the school witness the beating.

Neither Texas nor Mississippi law requires such a witness, since both states delegate responsibility to school districts for determining the parameters of the administration of corporal punishment. The Mississippi Association of School Boards recommends that any paddling be witnessed by at least one certified school employee at all times.

Despite these attempts to preserve the privacy of students, many students we interviewed in other districts had witnessed their peers being beaten. Even in districts that prohibit students from witnessing paddling, students nonetheless hear their peers being beaten. Licks would be so loud and hard you could hear it through the walls. You could hear the moans and yelling through the walls. One time [the principal] was paddling this kid and put it on the loud speaker.

It was on the intercom in every class in the school. You could hear him paddling this kid, talking bad to this kid. Oh yes, he did it on purpose.

It lasted a minute or two.
